Blessings over each of the tribes, Moses dies: Deuteronomy 33–34

All too often, people see a Law, or sometimes any instruction at all, as something that might limit their ability to enjoy life.

The opposite is true. God’s instructions are a source of wisdom and life. Israel was blessed to have been given them. The Law is a special possession:

^{Deuteronomy 33:3-5} Indeed, he loves his people;
all his holy ones are in his hands.
They follow in his steps
and accept his teaching.
Moses gave us the Lord’s instruction,
the special possession of the people of Israel.
The Lord became king in Israel—
when the leaders of the people assembled,
when the tribes of Israel gathered as one.
