Job’s response to Bildad and Zophar: Job 12–14

The mob justice you see on social media isn’t new. Job experienced it, many thousands of years ago:

12:5-6 People who are at ease mock those in trouble.
They give a push to people who are stumbling.

And, just as it is for social media, neither truth nor innocence is relevant:

123:4-5 As for you, you smear me with lies.
As physicians, you are worthless quacks.
If only you could be silent!
That’s the wisest thing you could do

It’s easy for us too look at it from the outside and silence and wonder why Job’s friends support him with empathy rather than empty words. Only God could explain why Job was in this mess.
