Ham’s descendents: Genesis 10:6-14

The Philistines first appear as one of the descendents of Ham, through his son Mizraim. They are listed in secular history as one of the “sea peoples” that attempted to invade Egpyt in the 12th century BC. Rameses III fought them off and eventually settled them around the Gerar area.
