Paul’s second letter to the believers in Corinth (Part 1): 2 Corinthians 1–3

What was happening? The believers in Corinth were upset with Paul for not keeping a promise to visit them again, but he explained that God had not permitted him to go. After all, believers should live without double meanings in their words: a yes is a yes and a no is a no.

How can anyone manage this?

2 Corinthians 1:21-22It is God who enables us, along with you, to stand firm for Christ. He has commissioned us, and he has identified us as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment that guarantees everything he has promised us.
