Allocating jobs in the new Temple: 1 Chronicles 23–25

When David was very old, he started allocating tasks for the Temple that his son, Solomon, would build.

As a musician himself, David well understood the value of music in worship and what it’s role was:

1 Chronicles 25:1 David and the army commanders then appointed men from the families of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun to proclaim God’s messages to the accompaniment of lyres, harps, and cymbals.
