Solomon’s proverbs: Proverbs 10−12

Solomon wrote 3000 proverbs and collected other wise sayings; some made it into the book of Proverbs. These chapters are from the first collection of Solomon’s proverbs.

How wonderful it is to watch your kids grow up with character, so they’re people that you want to be around.

A wise child makes more than a glad father, but it’s a good starting point:

^{Proverbs 10:1} A wise child makes a glad father,
but a foolish child is a mother’s grief.

Maybe it’s because they accept discipline:

^{Proverbs 13:1} A wise child loves discipline,
but a scoffer does not listen to rebuke.

And of course, the mother’s grief is possibly because of this:

but the foolish despise their mothers.
